Rev. Paul C. Jong’s book, Ephesians Seen from the Perspective of the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit [New Revised Edition], expounds all six chapters of Ephesians, which the Apostle Paul wrote while in prison, from the perspective of Jesus’ baptism, His Cross, and His resurrection—that is, from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Are you living your life of faith in fear right now, or are you living it with gratitude?
Even though you believe in Jesus, if your heart is still troubled because of sin, if sin remains in your heart even after repeatedly offering prayers of repentance, and if you still have no assurance of salvation despite serving God diligently, then you must personally examine and believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit proclaimed in this book and receive complete salvation once and for all.
Jesus, who is God Himself, was baptized by John the Baptist, the last priest of mankind, and thereby took upon Himself all the sins of humanity once and for all. In this way, the law of the laying on of hands in the Old Testament was fulfilled—the law by which Aaron the high priest laid his hands on the head of the sacrificial offering and passed all the sins of the people of Israel onto it.
And Just as the sacrificial offering that received the laying on of hands was put to death by shedding its blood, Jesus shed His blood and died on the Cross to pay the price of sin. In doing so, He took away all the sins of this world. And by rising from the dead, He gave eternal new life to those who become sinless by believing in this truth.
Those who believe in the salvation that Jesus the Savior has already completed for them have the problem of all the sins of the world resolved once and for all, and only those who have received this grace live a life worthy of salvation, not in fear but in gratitude. This means that salvation comes first, and life is its fruit.
For a person to be completely saved from sin before God, not even 0.1% of human effort is involved. Salvation is 100% a gift from God.
In the writings of Rev. Paul C. Jong, the teachings of Ephesians chapter 6 are explained as the Word given to the saints who have already been made sinless by believing in this truth of salvation. The attached text likewise teaches and emphasizes that the Word of Ephesians chapter 6 does not teach what one must do in order to obtain salvation, but rather how the righteous, who have already been born again by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, should live.
Is there peace in your heart right now?
May you personally examine and believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and thereby reach perfect peace—not in fear because of sin, but as a righteous person who is without sin.
