The Incarnation, the baptism, the blood of the Cross, the death and the Resurrection are not separate events, but one connected work of God’s salvation to save sinners.

Just as Paul also sternly said, “As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9), there is a gospel that the church must absolutely keep.

In this way, through Jesus’ baptism, the blood of the cross, and the resurrection, He has made those who believe perfect once and for all, forever.

Dear readers, we now live in an age in which it would not be strange for the Antichrist to appear before long. Therefore, you must believe now.

The one faith that accepts like a little child the gospel of the water and the Spirit, which Christ Himself accomplished, is all that is enough.

“The grace of God” refers to the grace of salvation from sin accomplished through Jesus Christ. When seen from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, this grace of salvation is revealed very clearly.

Paul diagnoses all the problems of the Corinthian church — division, moral failure, the abuse of spiritual gifts, and the denial of the resurrection from the dead — within the very same “gospel of the water and the Spirit.”

Acts 1:1–26 is not simply a record of the birth of the church, but a solemn process where God establishes witnesses to testify to the already completed gospel of the water and the Spirit of salvation.

This is because Jesus Christ, our Savior, came to this earth to fulfill the stern demand of the Law that says “the wages of sin is death.” He received baptism to take upon Himself all the sins of the world, was judged on the Cross in our place, and fully paid the wages of sin, thereby saving all of humanity from sin.

God grants the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to those who believe in the Word of truth — the Word of water and Spirit — through which He works. This truth declares that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit occurs only for those who believe in the Word of salvation through the removal of sin, accomplished by the baptism and bloodshed Jesus received when He came to this earth.
