Today Is the Time for You to Be Saved from Your Sins. Will You Accept God’s Invitation?
“The grace of God” refers to the grace of salvation from sin accomplished through Jesus Christ.
When seen from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, this grace of salvation is revealed very clearly.
God the Father sent Jesus Christ to this earth to solve the problem of humanity’s sins. Jesus came to this earth as the Savior of sinners and received the sins of the world passed onto His own body by being baptized by John the Baptist. Therefore, Jesus, bearing the sins of the world on His own body, was crucified, shed His precious blood, and received the judgment of sin in our place. And God the Father raised His Son Jesus from the dead again. All of this was the very work of the truth of the gospel of the water and the Spirit. In other words, the gospel word of salvation accomplished through Jesus’ baptism and the Cross has become “the grace of God.”
The Apostle Paul says, “Now is the accepted time.” And he says, “Now is the day of salvation.” Why is that?
It is because human life is very short, and humans are beings who cannot be surely guaranteed tomorrow. God is not One who gives the grace of salvation at some point in the future, but One who gives it right now, at this very moment. Therefore, now is the day to receive salvation. That is why you must believe in the gospel word of the water and the Spirit now. Today is the time for you to be saved from your sins.
Is salvation accomplished when a person has become prepared in various ways?
No. Salvation, that is, the complete salvation from sin, is accomplished when a person encounters and hears the gospel word of salvation that God has prepared, and when they accept it. People do not receive salvation after becoming more righteous or more holy. Humans have always lived as sinners before God. That is why we can receive salvation through faith that believes in the baptism Jesus Christ received from John and in the judgment of the Cross.
So Paul says that now is the acceptable day to receive salvation. Jesus, who was baptized by John and received the sins of the world passed onto Him, who died on the Cross and rose again, is bestowing the grace of salvation on those who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit even at this very moment.

And the gift of salvation is not something we can receive in the distant future, but something we receive when we accept the gospel word of the water and the Spirit by faith now. So Paul cries out, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
This word is not a mere religious declaration, but “God’s invitation.”

Do Not Receive the Grace of God in Vain, and Believe That Now Is the Day of Salvation
“We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: ‘In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.’ Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:1–2).
In 2 Corinthians 6:1–2, the Apostle Paul gives a very strong exhortation to the people who hear the gospel. He speaks the fact that God gives salvation to those who believe, and says to accept the gospel word of salvation into the heart at this very moment. At the center of this word, it says that the opportunity to receive salvation is now.
First, Paul calls himself and his coworkers “workers together with Him.” This means that the ministry of preaching the gospel is the work of participating in God’s work. It is a word that the people who believe and preach that gospel by which God saved people from sin are used as instruments in God’s ministry.
So Paul exhorts the saints, “Not to receive the grace of God in vain.” Here, receiving the grace of God in vain refers to the state of mind of those who, even after hearing the gospel word of salvation bestowed by God, do not accept it into their hearts or do not believe.
This word emphasizes that salvation is not simply a matter to think about someday, but a matter to think about right now. People often try to put off and think later about the lessons God speaks. However, Paul says not to postpone the opportunity for salvation, but to accept God’s grace now.
Also, this word is the gift of salvation that God gives. God has already opened the way of salvation, and now what is necessary for people is to accept that gospel word of salvation into their hearts by faith.
The gospel word of the water and the Spirit lets us know the clear gospel of salvation now.
Right now is the time to receive the grace of salvation. Right now is the day of salvation. Therefore, I hope that the listeners do not miss the opportunity to be saved, but receive salvation by faith and live as those who walk with God.
