God’s written word states that only those who are born again through the gospel of water and the Spirit can be called born-again believers and born-again ministers.

In the Bible, it speaks of Jeroboam’s sin, which became the origin of heresy. Jeroboam replaced God with a golden calf, and he changed the priesthood — that is, the sacrificial law established by God, which is the law of salvation.

Jesus has redeemed us from all the sins of the past, present and the future by bearing all the sins on His body through His baptism and being judged for them on the Cross. This is the complete and righteous salvation of God.

When Jesus was baptized, the sins of the world were transferred to Him. Jesus was sinless, but because He bore all the sins of the world through baptism, He had to die on the Cross. And by rising from death, He gave new life to those who believe in this beautiful gospel.

The One who overcame the world, who overcame Satan was Jesus Christ. He who believes in the word of the water, the blood, and the Spirit of Jesus will also overcome the world.

John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the Jordan. Baptism is given in the form of “laying on of hands,” and John the Baptist is a descendant of Aaron and the representative of all mankind. When John put his hands on the head of Jesus Christ, all the sins of the world were passed onto Him according to the Law God had established.

Why did Jesus wash the feet of Peter and His disciples on the day before Passover, before going to the Cross? Because He knew His disciples’ weaknesses, and He washed their feet to teach them that all their sins, past, present, and future, had already been washed away, so that sin could not come between Jesus and His disciples after He ascended to heaven.

Since we are born with sin as descendants of Adam, we must acknowledge that we are fundamentally sinners destined for hell, even if we do not commit sins through our actions. And we must have all the sins of our hearts removed through faith in the fact that Jesus, who is God, personally received baptism from John in the flesh, took upon Himself all the sins of the world, died on the cross as the price for our sins, and resurrected from the dead.

The way we can truly be saved from all sins is not by keeping the Law or repenting of sins, but salvation is achieved by accepting and believing exactly as the Word states the gospel of water, blood, and the Spirit — Jesus’ salvation work of taking upon all the sins of the world through baptism, bearing them, and receiving judgment by shedding His blood on the cross for those sins.

Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, the representative of all human beings and the high priest in the tradition of Aaron, and took all the sins of the world upon Himself. This was the purpose of His baptism.
