Pastor Paul C. Jong's newly published Bible study book, "1 Corinthians Seen from the Perspective of the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit," clearly testifies that only the gospel of the water and the Spirit can unite the church. 1 Corinthians is an epistle written by the Apostle Paul. This gospel is not the wisdom of the world, but the power of God; it is the ultimate answer that resolves all fundamental problems of faith.
When Paul addressed the saints of the Corinthian churchā"to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints"āhe meant that we have been clothed in holiness before God through the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Therefore, our faith is not about asking, "What must we do?" Rather, by believing in the salvation already completed through Jesus Christ, we must stand firm upon this gospel as holy, sinless saints.
This is the very message that 1 Corinthians delivers to the church today.
