I believe that Jesus Christ took all my sins and those of the whole world through His baptism, which He received according to the sacrificial law of the Old Testament from John the Baptist, who was recorded in the Bible as the greatest among those born of women and who was humanity’s representative and the last High Priest. And because He bore our sins, He had to die on the cross to pay the price in our place, since the wages of sin is death. Through this faith, I am without sin, righteous and holy before God.
Now my heart has obtained freedom from sin by believing in the law of salvation that the Lord has given.
And regarding the sins I commit in the future due to my weakness and wickedness, I resolve them by believing that Jesus Christ, who is God, has already taken all my sins (past, present, and future) through His baptism and eliminated them all through His blood on the cross and resurrection. Now my heart has obtained freedom from sin by believing in the law of salvation that the Lord has given.
I am grateful to Pastor Paul C. Jong for making me know this gospel of truth. I came to understand the truth by reading the free book “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?”, which is volume 1 of the pastor’s sermon series, and by searching through the Scripture. I thank God for leading me to the truth through His Word.
Before I encountered the gospel of water and the Spirit, I had sins in my heart, because I only believed in the blood of the cross without knowing the significance of Jesus’ baptism.
Before hearing this gospel of water and the Spirit, I thought I could go to heaven by keeping the works of the Law. But the more I tried, I rather found myself committing even more sins, hence I had no assurance of going to heaven and was in torment.
Now that I have come to know and believe in the gospel of water and the Spirit, I have firm assurance that I am in the truth and that I will go to heaven as I remain in this gospel, which makes me feel peaceful and happy.

Even if we try to live according to God’s Law, is it really possible to keep the Law?

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse…” <Galatians 3:10>
