Both Jesus’ baptism and His death on the Cross are part of God’s complete plan of salvation.
Baptism is the act by which Jesus took our sins upon Himself, and His blood on the cross is what He paid as the price for those sins. To be “born again of water and the Spirit,” it is essential to believe in both.
Therefore, through faith in Jesus’ work accomplished through His baptism and blood, I am without sin, and after being born again, believers have no more sin in God’s eyes.
And the problem of my daily and future sins can be solved by believing with gratitude that Jesus has already removed them through His baptism and the cross. Although we are weak and commit sins, I believe my salvation is already guaranteed through faith in Jesus’ work of salvation.
Believing Only in the Blood of Jesus’ Redemptive Work is to Possess Just Half of True Faith
I had sin in my heart before believing in the Gospel of water and the Spirit.
Even though I believed in Jesus Christ, it was not enough for complete remission of sins because I neither understood nor accepted the meaning of baptism and the Gospel of water and the Spirit.
Also, my faith in Jesus was incomplete before hearing the Gospel of water and the Spirit.
I believed in His sacrifice on the cross and knew He was the Savior, but I didn’t understand how my sins were transferred to Jesus and removed. Although I loved Jesus, I still felt guilt in my heart and struggled with fear of not receiving complete removal of sins. I believed only in the cross without knowing Jesus’ baptism of water, and didn’t understand His complete redemptive work.
However, everything changed when I read the Christian book “Have you truly been born again of water and the Spirit?” by Pastor Paul C. Jong of The New Life Mission.

I realized that Jesus not only died for my sins but also took all the sins of the world upon Himself when He was baptized.
At the moment Jesus was baptized by John, He took all my sins upon Himself. His baptism was the act by which all my sins were transferred to Him. And His death on the cross was the price He paid for those sins.
Therefore, now I know that all my sins have been completely removed. Not only past sins but also present and future sins have been completely eliminated through His work of salvation.
I no longer live with guilt or condemnation.
Before, although I believed in Jesus, sin was still present in my heart. But now I know and believe that I have been completely cleansed through the water (His baptism) and blood (His cross).
Believing only in Jesus being God (the Holy Spirit) and His blood on the cross is not enough to achieve complete salvation.
The essential elements of our salvation are the water of Jesus’ baptism, His blood, and the Holy Spirit. Only when we believe in all of these can salvation be completely fulfilled.
Do you know the work of salvation that Jesus Christ, who is God, performed to save us from sin?
