Today’s post is the testimony of a believer who read “HAVE YOU TRULY BEEN BORN AGAIN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT?” by Rev. Paul C. Jong, a servant of God at The New Life Mission, and who was saved from all his sins and born again through faith.

HAVE YOU TRULY BEEN BORN AGAIN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT?

I was born a Catholic. I was born into a Catholic family and grew up in the Catholic faith.

But to be honest, I didn’t place much importance on the church, because I had many questions.

‘Why is there Christianity, and Islam, and Catholicism, and Protestantism? In principle, they have the same Bible and serve the same God, so why are there so many churches? Why do their teachings and practices differ from one another?’

All these questions confused me.

So I went to church almost out of a sense of obligation. Then at some point, I decided to stop going, because I thought, ‘I don’t even know which God is the real God. Is it the God of the Catholics? The God of Islam? The God of the Protestants? The God of the Jehovah’s Witnesses?’

In the end, I decided not to go to church, and I told myself, ‘The God who made me knows that when I pray, I am praying to Him. So He will know my prayers.’

And that is how I went on with my life.

Then one day, a friend I used to spend time with shared with me the good news of Jesus Christ — the gospel of the water, the blood, and the Spirit.

As he shared this gospel with me, he handed me a book about it.

Through that book, I came to know the gospel of the water and the Spirit for the first time.

And it was then that I finally realized that pleasing God and being saved do not depend on works or good deeds, or on what we do or do not do.

I also came to realize that simply not going to church does not keep a person from becoming a child of God, and that those who still go to church are no different from me.

I came to see that I had been wrong in my thinking, and that all my beliefs had been wrong as well.

I accepted the gospel of the water and the Spirit. I believed it, and I have been free from all my sins ever since.

I was saved through what Jesus Christ has done — His baptism in water, His death on the Cross, and His resurrection.

Now I am free from the condemnation of sin, and I give thanks to Jehovah God, who washed away all my sins and granted me this faith.

Jesus told His disciples to go out into the world and proclaim this good news, so I am following His teachings in order to grow in faith.

I have become a child of God, and I have come to understand that it is God’s will for all people to be saved.

Therefore, the reason I am still living in this world is to preach this gospel, which is God’s will, to those who remain in their sins because they do not yet know the gospel of the water and the Spirit.

This is why I want to share these books — so that many others, just like me, can discover this message of salvation.

I earnestly hope that many people will come out of ignorance, realize the truth of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and be saved from their sins as well.
