Believing only in the blood without baptism is an incomplete faith
In a time of so-called mainstream Christianity and theology, an era where Christianity has degenerated into mere religion, Pastor Paul C. Jong’s book ‘Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?’ preaches the gospel of the water (the baptism of Jesus) and the Spirit as believed in and preached by the apostles in the early church and the disciples of Jesus. It also emphasizes that just as sacrificial offerings without the laying on of hands in the Old Testament were unlawful before God, similarly in The New Testament, believing only in the blood of the Cross as judgment for all sins without believing in Jesus’ baptism at the Jordan River and the truth that all sins of this world were passed onto Jesus through His baptism to eliminate the sins of the world, is an act of incomplete faith.
This book begins by referring to every human being as a seed of sin, born as a sinner with sins in their heart and destined to go to hell even if they do not commit a single act of sin in the flesh. Like this, Pastor Paul C. Jong’s book defines what sin is and explains the purpose of the Law. Furthermore, it explains that humans are like a ‘mass of sin’ because fundamentally speaking, we are born with sin inherently in our hearts. As a result, these sins from within, out of our hearts, defile us and those around us.
<Mark 7:15> There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.
Therefore, this book demands genuine faith that saves everyone by believing in Jesus Christ who is fundamentally God but came in the flesh of man through the borrowed body of Mary, that is, the Spirit, in the water baptism of Jesus where He took all the sins of the world from John the Baptist who represented all mankind, and in His death on the Cross by shedding blood to be judged in our place.
The book concludes with a reminder that by faith in Jesus as our Messiah, meaning “the true Savior,” not even one of us should be deceived by the Devil again over our weaknesses once saved (John 13). It also urges us through God’s word to discover through the original gospel of the water, the blood, and the Spirit, how we were saved once and for all from all our sins as Jesus paid the wages of our sins through His baptism, which is like the laying on of hands, and His blood on the Cross, and how all sins of the world were atoned for.
I discovered and believed this truth through Pastor Paul C. Jong’s first book, English Volume 1, ‘Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?’, and I am truly grateful before God who made me understand the true meaning of Jesus’ water baptism.
